| Zhang Peng holds a Doctor of Jurisprudence and completed postdoctoral research in intellectual property. He currently serves as a Senior Counsel at Zhong Lun Law Firm in Beijing. Since embarking on his legal career, Zhang Peng has handled numerous intellectual property and antitrust litigation cases, including several dozen before the Supreme People's Court. Many of these cases involve cutting-edge legal issues and have had broad societal impact. Several cases he represented have been selected as landmark cases, including inclusion in the "100 Exemplary Cases Marking the Fifth Anniversary of the Establishment of the Supreme People's Court Intellectual Property Tribunal," the "Beijing Intellectual Property Court's Top 10 Typical Trade Secret Infringement Cases," and the "Beijing Intellectual Property Court's Top 10 Typical Monopoly and Competition Law Cases."
Zhang Peng previously served as an exchange attorney at Kirkland & Ellis LLP's San Francisco office, where he participated in cross-border intellectual property litigation projects. He has been consistently recognized as a recommended lawyer for intellectual property litigation by internationally renowned legal rating agencies such as Chambers and The Legal 500, and has been listed as a recommended lawyer for intellectual property and the TMT sector. In 2024, he was named one of the "ALB Top 15 Intellectual Property Lawyers" by Asian Legal Business, a "Dispute Resolution Star" by Benchmark Litigation, and an "IP Star" by Managing IP, among other accolades.
In addition to his legal practice, Zhang Peng serves as an arbitration and mediation expert for the World Intellectual Property Organization. He has authored ten academic publications, including *Intellectual Property Strategy for State-Owned Enterprises* and *Observations on the Development of the Supreme People's Court Intellectual Property Tribunal and Case Reviews*, and has published nearly 100 academic papers.
