Mao Hao is a Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at Shanghai International Intellectual Property Institute, Tongji University. He serves as Secretary-General of the National Graduate Education Steering Committee for the Master of Intellectual Property Program, Vice Chairman of the Youth Committee of the Chinese Society of Science and Technology Policy, and Secretary-General of its Intellectual Property Professional Committee. He is also a Research Fellow at the China Science and Technology Policy Research Center of Tsinghua University.
Previously, he worked on policy research at the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA), where he was selected for the third cohort of CNIPA's High-Level Talent Program in 2012. He has served as a Liaison Officer to the Korean Intellectual Property Office and as a Liaison Officer to the Office of the Chief Economist at the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).
Over the past five years, he has led three projects funded by the National Social Science Fund and the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and directed a major research initiative for the Inter-ministerial Joint Conference on the Implementation of the National Intellectual Property Strategy of the State Council. He has received three First Prizes for Outstanding Achievements in National Intellectual Property Research (twice as first author) and has published more than ten academic papers. Additionally, he has submitted over 20 policy advisory reports to central government ministries.
