Personal Profile
Yixiong Zou is an experienced IP professional with more than 25 years of industrial experience, representing both IP holders and implementors. Mr. Zou has been recognised by IAM Strategy 300 multiple times and was formally a member of the Standing Advisory Committee to the EPO.  

Mr. Zou has a master’s degree in electrical engineering from University of Southern California.  He started his career as a software engineer for Intel, then became an IP counsel for Qualcomm.  

Currently Mr. Zou is the managing director of Sisvel’s China office in Shenzhen, Guangdong.  Prior to joining Sisvel, Mr. Zou served as Associate General Counsel for AESC, leading the technology transfer program for the lithium battery design and manufacturing company. Mr. Zou also served as General Counsel for ZEKU, a semiconductor design company located in Shanghai, and Chief IP counsel for Midea Group, a Fortune 500 home appliance and robotics company headquartered in Foshan, China.
