Dragon Wang is the Founding Managing Partner of SITAO IP and a seasoned patent litigation attorney.
With over 20 years of experience, Mr. Wang began his career as an
in-house patent counsel at Foxconn Group in Shenzhen. He later joined
Beijing East & Concord as Deputy General Manager, where he
established and led the firm's patent licensing and litigation
department. After founding Sitao Patent Operation Platform, he has
developed and implemented patent portfolio operation strategies for
numerous leading domestic and international industrial enterprises and
patent operating companies.
His expertise spans the entire spectrum of patent operations, including
the creation and management of patent portfolios, patent transactions,
licensing, and litigation. The industries he covers extend to automotive
and automation, semiconductors, 3G/LTE/5G wireless communication
technologies, audio and video codecs, and the Internet of Things.
Since 2017, Mr. Wang has been engaged by top-tier global patent
licensing firms, sovereign patent funds, patent pools, leading
telecommunications companies, and innovative SMEs to provide advisory
services on the transaction, licensing, and enforcement of Chinese
patent assets.
Mr. Wang has authored numerous articles on patent protection and patent
portfolio operation. He frequently serves as a moderator and speaker at
international intellectual property conferences, seminars, and academic
events. A licensing case he led was selected by the authoritative
industry magazine IAM as one of the "Top 10 Most Influential Global
Patent Operation Projects of 2019."
Since 2020, Mr. Wang has been consistently listed in the IAM Strategy
300 as one of the world's top 300 intellectual property strategists.
